The summer trip includes a 3- to 6-day stay at Hotel Mirella in Ponte di Legno with full board.
It provides a perfect opportunity to experience the mountains in summer trying different and enthusiastic activities.
Below, you will find some of the proposed activities. However, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have other requests. We will do our best to fulfil your expectations and create the perfect summer trip for you..
Rafting: An exciting activity for everybody which doesn’t require any past experience before hitting the rapids of the river Noce. From May to September, when the river is at its highest level, the Noce remains one of the most popular destinations for rafting in Europe. Before descending the river in rafts of six people, all of the instructions and procedures are explained in a theory lesson, given by each rafting guide. Everyone lends a hand in travelling down the rapids by paddling on the instruction of their guide.
Adventure Park and Orienteering: The adventure park of Vezza d’Oglio offers a high ropes course, featuring routes of varying difficulty and challenges e.g. zip wire, bungee jump. It is suitable for both adults and children, and requires good balance, coordination and agility.
The natural environment of the park also provides an opportunity to participate in an orienteering course. This will challenge participants physically, intellectually, socially and competitively, by working individually or in teams, to complete the course.
Museo Guerra Bianca: This museum is dedicated to the historical and human events of the First World War, specifically at the front from the Stelvio Pass to Lake Garda. The museum has been open since 1974 and hosts a fascinating collection of historical artefacts from the First World War.
Climbing: Italy has the wealth of rock climbing and trekking areas. Many of these locations are found in the area around Ponte di Legno. Within a very short walk from the Hotel Mirella, there is a climbing wall, where students can learn to climb or practise their skills.
Mountain Bike: Located in Ponte di Legno, the Ponte di Legno-Tonale bike park offers bike hire and three graded courses, blue, red and black. Smooth terrain allow students to approach the discipline with confidence, whilst the more experienced riders can perform jumps, supports and tricks.
Glacier: Ghiacciaio Presena is a glacier in the Presanella massif at an altitude of between 2700 and 3000 metres, south of Passo Tonale. It is well known for being one of the few glaciers on which summer skiing is carried out. It can be reached via a modern gondola and is surrounded by majestic mountains. In the summer, it is often the starting point for trekkers, who can walk along a series of communication trenches used in the ‘White War’. Three restaurants/bars are available, at different heights, each with fantastic views.
Waterpark: During the trip to the water park students will spend a day relaxing and having fun, whilst enjoying water attractions and activities.
